Sydney Tafler

A very rare addition to the collection this week - a 6x4 vintage photo signed by Sydney Tafler. Sydney played the Captain of The Liparus (Strombergs ship) in The Spy Who Loved Me.

He died of cancer in 1979, 2 years after the movie launched - I have never seen a signed photo of him from the movie.

Not many know that he was related by marriage to Lewis Gilbert - the director of TSWLM

Paul Bannon had a small role as one of the technicians at Severanaya in Goldeneye...obatined in person at Memorabilia where he was signing as a stormtrooper from Star Wars.
