Bond, James Bond

Collecting James Bond autographs This blog is about collecting James Bond autographs. I have a collection of over 6000, that have been collected in person, through the mail, through agents and through reputable auction houses. I also act as an agent for a number of Bond stars at signing shows

My Other Timothy Dalton's

These are the only other two I have of Timothy at the moment - looking for more all the time!

The bottom one of the two looks slightly odd - that's because it was signed outside a premiere in Berlin - so it isn't his usual neat signature - but you can still see all the typical Dalton traits in the signature

Timothy Dalton Autographs

I don't have quite so many Timothy Dalton autrographs...is this because he only did two films? (Well I have over 35 George Laznby's and he only did one movie - although George has been good enough to come to a few shows and events for signings), is it because he doesn't like to be associated with Bond anymore, or is it that he's just a tough signer? There are certainly lots of fakes still on the market though - so that might suggest the latter!

The Lesser Known James Bond

Simon Oates? Most Bond fans haven'y even heard if him, but he was another Bond prior to Sean Connery. Simon played Bond on stage in London in the late 1950's/early sixties, and although I was once told, I have forgotten which play this was....I belive it may have been a version of Casino Royale. Can anyone help with this?

From Bond to Blockbusters

As mentioned below, Bob Holness played Bond in Moonraker on South African radio in 1956....I wrote to Bob and his daughter to try and get some shots of Bob from when he played Bond. These shots were actually 7x5's and were from his wife's bedside table. I re-touched them and made some copies for Bob - which have now replaced the originals on his wife's bedside table. Several signed copies were done and sold for charity afterwards.

The top shot is of Bob as he is now.

The First James Bond

Everyone knows that Sean Connery wasn't the first James Bond...there were actually a few before him....

Barry Nelson played and American Bond in a TV short of "Casino Royale" as part of Climax Movie Theatre in 1954.

The other two early Bond's were Bob Holness, who played Bond in a South African radio production of "Moonraker" in 1956.

The other is less known - Simon Oates, who again played Bond on stage in the late 50's - but I'm not sure which play this was - can anyone help?

The shots here are of Barry Nelson...Bob Holness and Simon Oates to follow...

The final peices of the Roger Moore Collection?

These are the last multi-signs of Roger I have at the moment - see the rest below...must be thirty or so now...

At the top is my second multi-sign of Roger Moore and John Moreno from For Your Eyes Only - John signed this for me in person at Pinewood Studios in 2005

Second down isRoger Moore and Lois Chiles in my second mutli-sign of the two of them together in Moonraker

Third is a rare multi-sign of Roger Moore with Joie Vejjajiva who played Cha - one of Hips' (Soon Tek-Oh) two karate neices in The Man with The Golden Gun

And lastly...this is my third multi-sign of Roger Moore with Jane Seymour in Live & Let Die........

.....Brosnan, Dalton or Lazenby next...

Nearly there with the Roger Moore's...

Just a few more to go....then you've seen them all (to date anyway!) I didn't realise that I had this many!

At the top is a cracking action shot from For Your Eyes Only signed by Roger Moore

Below that is my second multi-sign of Jane Seymour and Roger Moore together from Live & Let Die

Then there's my second Maud Adams with Roger Moore multi-sign, although this time it's from The Man with the Golden Gun as Andrea

Second from bottom is my second Lyne Holly Johnson multi-sign with Roger Moore from For Your Eyes Only

At the bottom is a multi-signed shot of Pierce Brosnan with Roger Moore at a premiere - signed by both.

The missing Pamela Salem's...

For some reason these two Pamela Salem's from one of the posts' below didn't upload - so here they are....

If anyone is interested, Pamela Salem and Caroline Bliss are signing at the VinMag store in Brewers Street tomorrow (April 1st 2006)

More of the Roger Moore's

Nearly there - only a few more to go after this...

Roger and Douglas Wilmer (Fanning) in Octopussy at the auction for the Faberge egg

Next is a rare shot from the opening scenes of A View to Kill of Kimberly Jones (former Miss World Mary Stavin) with Roger after she had rescued Bond from the Artic.

In the middle is John Moreno (Luigi Ferrera) in For Your Eyes Only taking a break from filimg with Roger.

Below that is a promotional shot from The Spy Who Loved Me with Valerie Leon - The Carry-On girl who played the receptionist in the Alpine hotel. Valerie later appeared in Never Say Never Again as the girl on the fishing boat that hooks Bond in the Bahamas

At the bottom is Madeline Smith as Miss Carusso from the opening scenes of Live & Let Die.

Yet more Multi-signed Moore's

I did say that there were quite a few multi-signed Roger Moore's!

The first is another shot of Roger with Albert Moses from Octopussy (see post below for the other one)

The second is of the wonderful Caroline Munro as Naomi with Roger on the way to Stromberg's underwater palace in The Spy Who Love Me

The next is of Sheriff J.W Pepper himself (Clifton James) with Roger in The Man with the Golden Gun (Clifton's second Bond movie (the first being Live & Let Die)

The next one down is David Hedison as Felix Leiter in Live & Let Die

The last one is a rare shot, and a rare autograph of Carole Bouquet (Melina Havelock) from For Your Eyes Only.

More Multi-signed Roger Moore's

These are definately some of my favourite items in my collection.

The first is of Roger with Albert Moses as Albert in Octopussy. (Albert was also a barman in The Spy Who Loved Me.

The next is of Tanya Roberts (Stacey Sutton) and Roger in an action scene through San Fransisco in A View to a Kill

Then there is a great promotional shot from Moonraker showing Roger Moore with Lois Chiles as Dr. Holly Goodhead (weren't the bondgirl names' just the best!)

Second from bottom is Roger with Lyne Holly Johnson as Bib Dahl in For Your Eyes Only

The last one here is of Roger Moore with Fiona Fullerton in A View to a Kill

Some more Moore's (forgive the pun)

These are some more of my Roger Moore Collection. These are some of the mutli-signed items I have.

The first of these is from The Spy Who Loved Me, with Barbara Bach as Anya Amasova

The second is from Live and Let Die (Roger's first outing as Bond) with Jane Seymour as Solitaire

The third is one of my favourites from my collection - Roger Moore with Britt Ekland (Miss Goodnight), and Maud Adams (Andrea) from The Man With The Golden Gun. It has been signed by all three.

The fourth shows Roger with Maud Adams again - this time in her more famous role as Octopussy

The fifth is of Roger with Britt Ekland again in The Man with the Golden Gun.

My Roger Moore Collection

As with the Sean Connery's I have quite a few Roger Moore's, so I'm going to have to show them in several posts. They are some of my most valued items in my collection.

Pamela Salem at Memorabilia

The third Moneypenny that was at Memorabila - Pamela Salem. Pamela played Moneypenny in Sean Connery's remake of Thunderball - "Never Say Never Again" - it was Pamela's only outing as Moneypenny - but just as memorable!

This was the second time that I've met Pamela - the first was in the summer in Swindon at the Infinitely Better store.

She is really friendly and absolutely lovely. She lives in California now, and doesn't often get to come to shows in the UK.

I only got three photos signed by Pamela as pictures of her are actually quite hard to find in the Moneypenny role.

I got one signed showing the cast of Never Say Never Again, which I had already had signed by Klaus Maria Brandaeur (Largo) and Irvin Kirschner (the director of the film). Need a few more signings on this photo now! Edward Fox (M), Alec McGowen (Q - Algernon), Bernie Casey (Felix Leiter), Kim Basinger, Barbara Carrera (Fatima Blush) to go!

One shot was a still from the movie - a close up of Bond and Moneypenny having a conversation - the other is a rare press still with Sean Connery, Pamela Salem and Barbara Carrera at a press conference on the promotional tour - Pamlea seemed to think that this shot was from the Venice Press Call.
